Summer camps, school programs, and community projects grounded in local heritage and oral history
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Krak Teet 4 Kids is a hands-on cultural education program rooted in oral history, local heritage, folk traditions, and imaginative problem-solving. We work with young people from elementary through college, helping them explore identity, ancestry, and collective care through storytelling, community interviews, folk games, and collaborative challenges.
Krak Teet 4 Kids invites participants to practice cultural preservation while envisioning new futures together. Whether we’re building barter-based communities in summer camp or gathering neighborhood stories in a writing workshop, our goal remains the same: to spark curiosity, confidence, and connection.
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT
We center culture as curriculum. Whether we’re in Savannah, Philly or Oakland, sessions draws from local heritage, oral history, and folk knowledge as tools for learning and survival.
We engage youth across ages. From elementary students to rising college students, Krak Teet 4 Kids offers layered, age-appropriate programming that grows with our participants.
We collaborate. Students don’t just listen and repeat. They analyze, build, barter, and lead in simulated communities, storytelling circles, and public showcases.
We practice intergenerational learning. Elders and culture bearers are not just honored guests; they’re active co-educators, guiding each session with lived experience and cultural wisdom.
We teach real-world readiness. From creative problem-solving to community care, our programs equip young people with the soft and hard skills to navigate today’s world and reimagine tomorrow’s.
